The residents of the Constituency is predominately pastoralist with those in wajir town running small enterprises, The consistency is also doubles as the head quarter of wajir county which is located in wajir Town , VISION STATEMENT To make Wajir East Constituency a model constituency providing better living conditions for the constituents by the year 2018 and beyond. MISSION STATEMENT To stand out in the provision of services that shall improve living standards of the constituents through discreet management, effective and efficient utilization of NGCDF and other funds allocated to the Constituency , CORE V VISION: To be a model constituency in Kenya delivering equitable socio-economic transformation, modern education infrastructure, and empowered communities. MISSION: To efficiently mobilize and utilize NG-CDF public resources through transparent, accountable, and participatory governance for sustainable grassroots development in Wajir East Constituency.
